Nefertiti Bust | Handcrafted Egyptian Replica
Queen Nefertiti — "the beautiful one has come" — was Great Royal Wife to Pharaoh Akhenaten and one of the most powerful women of Egypt's 18th Dynasty. Alongside her husband she helped lead the religious revolution that briefly replaced Egypt's pantheon with the worship of Aten, the sun disk. Her likeness, immortalised in the painted limestone bust uncovered at Amarna in 1912, is one of the most recognised faces of the ancient world.
This is a display-scale reproduction, hand-finished in Cairo by Egyptian artisans in coloured fibre glass. The elongated neck, the tall flat-topped crown, and the balanced symmetry of the face are carried over from the Amarna original — sculpted, painted and detailed by hand. Minor variations between pieces are a mark of genuine handcraft.
